Cedar Key is approximately 50 miles southwest of Gainesville, Florida. Most out-of-state visitors come to Cedar Key from either Tampa International Airport or Orlando International Airport. You can also fly to the Gainesville Airport, though it is a smaller airport and flights tend to be less frequent and often more expensive than the larger airports.
directions
Once you reach I-75 in Florida, take State Route #24 (Exit 384 on I-75) southwest for approximately 50 miles. You will cross-over State Highway 27/41 in Archer, Alternate 27 in Bronson, and US 19/98 in Otter Creek. Continue until you encounter a stop sign in the village of Cedar Key. At the stop sign in Cedar Key (Second Street), turn left and follow Second Street to the very end past the Cedar Key Beach. (Yes, the directions are very easy.)
Second Street dead-ends into two driveways; take the left fork into Old Fenimore Mill Condominiums. You've arrived! The rental office (for registering, paying, and picking up keys) is the first building on your right.
